报告人简介:Professor Jian Li (PhD 2002) is Head of the Laboratory of Antimicrobial Systems Pharmacology at the Biomedicine Discovery Institute, Monash University. He is a Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher (2015 - 2017), and has an internationally leading track record in the pharmacology of polymyxins and the discovery of new antibiotics against Gram-negative ‘superbugs’. He has 318 publications with 15,173 citations and an h-index of 60. His polymyxin research alone has led to 253 papers, one book, 6 book chapters and one granted US patent. The majority of modern polymyxin pharmacology data were reported by his group. His research has led to the first scientifically-based dosing recommendations for polymyxin E and significantly improved clinical practice worldwide. His new-generation polymyxin molecules have been licensed to Qpex Biopharma for IND-enabling evaluations. Dr Li’s research is funded by the US National Institutes of Health, Australian government, and other grant bodies. He is an Editor of the Int J Antimicrob Agents, BMC Microbiol and Front Microbiol. He is also an invited reviewer for 167 international journals and 16 international funding bodies. Professor Li has received numerous prestigious awards, including NHMRC’s Ten of the Best Research Projects (2015), and the Jacques Miller Medal for Experimental Biomedicine by the Australian Academy of Science (2017).
