报告摘要:Optical bioimaging generally acquires information based on the scattered, transmitted, and reflected light. The fundamental characteristics of the light, i.e., intensity, phase, and polarization properties of light, are reflected in the obtained information. Artificially engineered flat nanodevices, famously known as Metasurfaces, can interact uniquely with the incident light and can tailor its fundamentals characteristics. Such interaction can be desirably engineered to achieve improved imaging quality. In this talk, the speaker will briefly give an overview of the Metasurfaces, their working principle, design, and optimization. After that, the talk will focus the metasurface-based imaging modalities such as lensless imaging (metaholograpy), a chiral imaging study of the polarization of light, and super-resolution imaging, etc. In the end, the speaker will briefly present a few of the highlighted works from his group, “NanoTech Lab (http://nanotechlab.itu.edu.pk/)”, related to the topic.
