报告摘要:As quantum technologies race toward scalability, a central challenge remains: how can we manipulate quantum systems with high fidelity and minimal dissipation in the shortest possible time? In this talk, I will explore the emerging landscape of shortcuts to adiabaticity-a suite of powerful protocols that accelerate quantum state transformations without resorting to slow driving methods, while maintaining accuracy. These techniques are reshaping our approach to quantum control, with applications to quantum annealing and quantum optimization in noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices.
报告人简介:Adolfo del Campo is a professor of theoretical physics at the University of Luxembourg. He is notable as one of the pioneers of shortcuts to adiabaticity in quantum control. In recognition of his contributions, he was elected a fellow of the American physical society in 2023, in the division of quantum information. During his career, del Campo has made seminal contributions to shortcuts to adiabaticity in quantum control, quantum speed limits, critical phenomena, and quantum optimization algorithms.
